One Call, Thousands of Trucks

Most auto transporters are small companies. A carrier might run two or three trucks on a handful of routes they know well. That's great if you happen to be on one of their routes, and not much help if you aren't.

That's where we come in. We're a broker with relationships with more than 10,000 vetted carriers, so wherever your car is and wherever it's going in the lower 48, there's usually a truck already headed that way.

You deal with one company, one quote, and one point of contact. We handle finding the right transporter.

Where We Ship

Coverage Across the Country

Every region has its own quirks. These are a few of the things our carriers deal with every day.

West

California to the Rockies

Busy lanes up and down I-5 and across I-10, I-15, and I-80, plus mountain passes that need extra care in winter.

California car shipping →

South

Texas to the Carolinas

Some of the busiest car-hauling lanes in the country, from Houston and Dallas across I-10 and I-20 toward Florida and Georgia.

Texas car shipping →

Midwest

The Heartland

Chicago is a huge hub, and I-70, I-80, and I-94 connect it to nearly everything else. Winter weather can add a day here and there.

Illinois car shipping →

Northeast

Boston to D.C.

Dense cities and narrow streets mean drivers often meet you at a nearby lot. I-95 keeps trucks moving up and down the coast.

New York car shipping →

Off the Beaten Path

Yes, We Ship to Small Towns Too

Big cities are easy. Plenty of trucks pass through every day. Small towns and rural addresses take a little more work, because a carrier has to leave the interstate to reach you.

We still ship there. It may take an extra day or two to line up a truck, and it can cost a bit more than a metro-to-metro run. If a full-size carrier can't reach your road, the driver will meet you somewhere nearby with room to load, like a truck stop or a big parking lot.

If you're flexible, meeting the truck in the nearest city can save you money. We'll tell you if that's an option worth considering.

Rural Shipping Tips

  • Give a pickup window of a few days if you can.
  • Tell us about gravel roads, low bridges, or tight turns.
  • Know a nearby lot where a big truck can turn around.
  • Ask whether meeting in the closest city saves money.

Our Network

How We Pick Your Auto Transporter

Having a lot of trucks to choose from only matters if they're good ones.

Authority Checked

Every carrier has to have active operating authority with the FMCSA before we'll assign them a car.

Insurance Verified

We confirm the carrier has active cargo insurance before your car goes on their truck.

Right Truck for the Job

Open carrier, enclosed trailer, or a smaller hotshot rig for tight streets. We match the truck to your car and your route.

FAQ

Nationwide Auto Transport FAQs

Do you ship cars to every state?

We ship door-to-door anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. That covers big cities, suburbs, and rural addresses.

How do you find an auto transporter for my route?

We work with a network of more than 10,000 carriers. We post your shipment to carriers already running your route, check their authority and insurance, and assign the one that fits your car and your dates.

Does it cost more to ship to or from a rural area?

Sometimes. A carrier has to leave the main highway to reach you, so it can take a little longer and cost a bit more than a city-to-city run. Meeting the truck in a nearby city can help.

How long does nationwide car shipping take?

It mostly depends on distance. A few hundred miles often takes 1 to 3 days after pickup. Around 1,000 miles is usually 2 to 3 days, and coast to coast is about 7 to 10 days.

What kinds of vehicles can you ship?

Nearly everything: sedans, SUVs, pickups, vans, luxury and classic cars, and vehicles that don't run. Larger vehicles like lifted trucks, duallys, and RVs can be shipped with a custom quote based on size and weight.

Is my car insured during transport?

Yes. Every carrier we work with is required to carry active cargo insurance. Your vehicle's condition is documented on the Bill of Lading at pickup and checked again at delivery. Personal items left in the vehicle are not covered.

Do I have to pay upfront?

No. There's $0 due at booking. Once a carrier is assigned, you can either pay a small deposit and the remaining balance directly to the driver at delivery, or pay in full at that point so nothing is due at delivery.
