Florida to Idaho Auto Transport

Shipping a Car From Florida to Idaho

Orlando to Boise is about 2,710 miles, across the South and the Plains to Denver and then over the Rockies on I-80 and I-84. From Pensacola it's closer to 2,300. It's five to six long days of driving.

Idaho has become a favorite for Floridians who've had enough of heat, humidity, and hurricane season. People head to Boise, Coeur d'Alene, and Sandpoint for mountains, lakes, and real seasons. We also ship for airmen moving from Eglin, Tyndall, and MacDill to Mountain Home AFB, and engineers heading to Idaho National Laboratory.

Door-to-door, a final-price quote, and $0 due at booking.

The Route

How Cars Get From Florida to Idaho

Most carriers head up I-75 to Atlanta and west through Nashville and St. Louis on I-24 and I-70 to Denver. From there, trucks go north to Cheyenne, cross Wyoming on I-80, and take I-84 into Twin Falls, Mountain Home, and Boise.

Idaho Falls and Pocatello are reached on I-15 from northern Utah. North Idaho is a different trip, usually through Montana on I-90. Panhandle Florida pickups often head west through Dallas instead.

Timing

When to Ship Florida to Idaho

Mountain winters and Florida's storm season both play a part.

Winter in the West

Blizzards on I-70 and wind closures on Wyoming's I-80 can slow trucks from November through April.

Hurricane Season

June through November can delay pickups along the Florida coasts. Keep a little slack in your dates.

Summer PCS Season

Summer is the busiest time for Mountain Home moves. Book as soon as you have orders.

Summer & Fall

Usually the easiest time to arrive in Idaho. Boise relocations peak in summer.

Pricing

How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Car From Florida to Idaho?

Here's what affects the price on this cross-country route.

Distance

At roughly 2,300 to 3,000 miles, this is one of the longest routes out of Florida.

Fewer Direct Trucks

Not many carriers run Florida to Idaho directly, so loads often connect through Denver or Utah.

Season

Winter costs more and takes longer in the West. Summer and early fall are usually the best value.

Open or Enclosed

Open is the standard. Enclosed keeps road salt and gravel off a nicer car.

Vehicle Size

Pickups and full-size SUVs take more trailer space than sedans, so they cost more to ship.

Date Flexibility

A flexible window gives us more options on a long, less-traveled route.

Your Quote Is Your Final Price

A cheap quote no driver will take just leaves your car sitting. Ours is priced to move, it's your final price, and $0 is due at booking.

Good to Know

Before You Ship & After You Arrive

A few Idaho-specific things worth knowing.

Registering in Idaho

New residents title and register at the county assessor's office. Out-of-state vehicles need a VIN inspection. Check itd.idaho.gov for current requirements, including any local emissions rules.

Get Winter-Ready

Coming from Florida? Idaho winters call for snow tires, a strong battery, and an ice scraper you've probably never owned.

Moving With the Military

We ship for airmen and families moving from Eglin, Tyndall, MacDill, and Hurlburt to Mountain Home AFB.

Florida Pickups

Gated communities, HOA truck rules, condo garages, and tight streets in places like Miami Beach and Key West can keep a carrier off your street. If so, the driver will set up a nearby meeting spot, usually a lot just off I-95, I-75, I-4, or the Turnpike.

The Process

How It Works

Simple, transparent, and nothing due until a carrier is on the way.

  1. 1

    Request Your Quote

Give us your Florida pickup address, your Idaho delivery address, the vehicle, and your dates. You get a final price, good for 7 days.

  2. 2

    Book With $0 Down

Nothing is due when you book. We match your vehicle with a vetted carrier that has room on a truck headed to Idaho.

  3. 3

    Carrier Dispatched

Once a carrier is assigned, a deposit (or full payment, if you prefer) secures your spot. The driver inspects your car with you at pickup and notes its condition on the Bill of Lading.

  4. 4

    Delivered & Inspected

Look your car over with the driver in Idaho, sign off, and pay any remaining balance directly to the driver by cash or check.
