Florida to New Mexico Auto Transport
Shipping a Car From Florida to New Mexico
Pensacola to Albuquerque is about 1,290 miles, west to Dallas and out I-40 across the Texas Panhandle. Orlando to Albuquerque is closer to 1,760, and Clovis comes first at about 1,520. It's three to four days of driving.
This is one of the most direct special operations routes in the Air Force. Hurlburt Field and Cannon AFB are the two main homes of Air Force Special Operations Command, so crews and families move between them constantly. We also ship for airmen moving from Eglin to Holloman and Kirtland, and Floridians retiring to Santa Fe and Albuquerque for dry air and mountain views.
Door-to-door, a final-price quote, and $0 due at booking.

Timing
When to Ship Florida to New Mexico
Special operations moves and Southwest weather set the timing.
Summer PCS Season
May through August is the peak for Cannon, Holloman, and Kirtland moves. Book as soon as you have orders.
Monsoon Season
July and August afternoon storms bring flash floods and hail. Drivers wait out the worst of it.
Winter on I-40
Snow and ice in the Panhandle and near Albuquerque can slow trucks for a day from December through March.
Hurricane Season
June through November can delay pickups along the Florida coasts. Keep a little slack in your dates.
Pricing
How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Car From Florida to New Mexico?
Here's what affects the price on this route.
Distance
Eastern New Mexico is about 1,150 miles from the Panhandle. Santa Fe from Central Florida is closer to 1,820.
Delivery Area
Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and the bases are easy. Taos and rural areas take more planning.
Season
Summer PCS moves raise demand. Fall and winter are often the best value.
Open or Enclosed
Open is the standard. Enclosed keeps sun, hail, and dust off a nicer car.
Vehicle Size
Pickups and full-size SUVs take more trailer space than sedans, so they cost more to ship.
Date Flexibility
A flexible window lets us catch a truck already heading west.

Before You Ship & After You Arrive
A few New Mexico-specific things worth knowing.
Registering in New Mexico
New residents have 30 days to title and register with the MVD. Out-of-state vehicles need a VIN inspection, and Bernalillo County requires emissions testing. Check mvd.newmexico.gov for current requirements.
Moving With the Military
We ship for airmen and families moving from Hurlburt, Eglin, Tyndall, and MacDill to Cannon, Holloman, Kirtland, and White Sands.
Base Housing Pickups
Hurlburt and Eglin have rules for commercial trucks. We'll work with you on a gate or a nearby meeting spot.
Florida Pickups
Gated communities, HOA truck rules, condo garages, and tight streets in places like Miami Beach and Key West can keep a carrier off your street. If so, the driver will set up a nearby meeting spot, usually a lot just off I-95, I-75, I-4, or the Turnpike.
