Arizona to Alabama Auto Transport
Shipping a Car From Arizona to Alabama
Phoenix to Birmingham is about 1,700 miles of desert, Texas, and Mississippi. It takes three long days east on I-10 and I-20, and if you're leaving Phoenix in July, the first day can be well over 110 degrees.
A lot of the cars we ship from Arizona to Alabama belong to people heading home: snowbirds going back for the summer, families returning to be near relatives, and retirees trading the desert for the Gulf Coast. We also ship for engineers moving from Phoenix's tech and aerospace jobs to Huntsville, and for service members moving from Luke or Davis-Monthan to Maxwell AFB and Redstone Arsenal.
Door-to-door, a final-price quote, and $0 due at booking.

The Route
How Cars Get From Arizona to Alabama
Most trucks leave Phoenix on I-10, pass Tucson, and run east through El Paso. In West Texas they pick up I-20 through Dallas, Shreveport, and Jackson into Birmingham. Mobile and Gulf Coast deliveries stay on I-10 the whole way through Houston and New Orleans.
North Alabama deliveries sometimes go the northern way instead, up I-17 to Flagstaff and east on I-40 to Memphis before dropping into Huntsville. That's more common in summer, since the high country is cooler and the southern desert stretch is brutal.

Timing
When to Ship Arizona to Alabama
Leaving Arizona has its own rhythm. Here's how the year usually goes.
Spring (Mar–May)
Snowbirds head home all at once, and trucks leaving Arizona fill up fast. Book 2 to 4 weeks ahead for a spring pickup.
Summer Pickups
Phoenix heat over 110°F is normal. Have the car ready on time at pickup so it isn't sitting on blacktop, and check the battery first.
Monsoon Season
July through September brings sudden dust storms on I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson. They can close the highway for an hour or two.
Fall
Trucks heading into Arizona are packed, but outbound trucks often have room, so fall can be an easier time to ship east.
Pricing
How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Car From Arizona to Alabama?
When you leave Arizona matters almost as much as where you're going.
Direction & Season
Leaving Arizona in spring competes with the snowbird rush north and east. Fall and early winter are often easier and cheaper.
Distance
Tucson to Mobile is the short end at about 1,540 miles. The East Valley to the Wiregrass is closer to 1,850.
Pickup Location
Phoenix and Tucson metros are easy to schedule. Pickups in Prescott, Show Low, or small desert towns take a little longer.
Open or Enclosed
Open is the standard. Enclosed keeps desert dust and Gulf humidity off a classic or luxury car.
Vehicle Size
Full-size trucks and SUVs take more trailer space than sedans, so they cost a bit more to ship.
Running Condition
Non-running cars need a winch to load. Mention it up front so your quote stays your final price.
Your Quote Is Your Final Price
Spring snowbird season is when bait-and-switch quotes show up most. Ours doesn't change. The price we quote is the price you pay, with $0 due at booking.
