Arizona to Florida Auto Transport
Shipping a Car From Arizona to Florida
Phoenix to Orlando is about 2,100 miles, almost all of it on I-10. You go from one sunny retirement state to another, crossing Texas, Louisiana, and the Gulf Coast in between. It's four long days behind the wheel.
This route connects two of the biggest retiree and snowbird states in the country, so we see a lot of people choosing between them. Some have tried Arizona and want the ocean. Others are moving closer to grandkids. We also ship cars for service members moving from Luke or Davis-Monthan to MacDill, Eglin, and NAS Jacksonville, and for families relocating to Tampa and Orlando for work.
Door-to-door, a final-price quote, and $0 due at booking.

The Route
How Cars Get From Arizona to Florida
This is an I-10 route almost from start to finish. Trucks leave Phoenix through Tucson, cross West Texas to San Antonio and Houston, then run along the Gulf through Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama into the Florida Panhandle.
Jacksonville deliveries stay on I-10 to the Atlantic. Tampa, Orlando, and Southwest Florida deliveries turn south on I-75 at Lake City. Miami and the Keys are the longest legs, often another full day past Orlando.

Timing
When to Ship Arizona to Florida
Two snowbird states and one long Gulf Coast highway. Here's what to expect.
Hurricane Season
June through November. Much of I-10 runs along the Gulf, so a storm can pause trucks in Texas, Louisiana, or Florida until it's safe.
Snowbird Seasons
Fall brings heavy demand into both Arizona and Florida. Spring brings outbound demand from both. Book a few weeks ahead either way.
Arizona Summer
Pickups in Phoenix and Tucson can top 110°F. Be ready on time, and make sure the battery and tires are healthy.
Winter
Usually smooth. I-10 stays mostly clear of snow, which makes this one of the more reliable winter cross-country routes.
Pricing
How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Car From Arizona to Florida?
Here's what makes the biggest difference in price on this route.
Distance
Tucson to Pensacola is about 1,540 miles. Phoenix to Miami is closer to 2,350.
Season
Fall demand into Florida and spring demand out of Arizona both push prices. Summer is often easier, outside of storms.
Delivery Area
Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville are busy markets. The Keys, barrier islands, and gated communities take more planning.
Open or Enclosed
Open is the standard. Enclosed keeps desert dust and Gulf storms off a nicer car.
Vehicle Size
Full-size trucks and SUVs take more trailer space than sedans, so they cost more to ship.
Date Flexibility
I-10 is a busy truck corridor. A flexible window helps us catch one already headed east.
Your Quote Is Your Final Price
Snowbird season is when bait-and-switch pricing shows up most. We don't do that. The price we quote is the price you pay, with $0 due when you book.

Before You Ship & After You Arrive
A few things specific to this route.
Registering in Florida
New residents must register within 10 days of establishing residency, and out-of-state vehicles need a VIN verification. Check flhsmv.gov for current requirements.
Gated Communities on Both Ends
Both Phoenix and Florida are full of gated HOAs. Share gate codes or a nearby meeting spot for pickup and delivery.
Moving With the Military
We ship vehicles for service members moving from Arizona bases to MacDill, Eglin, Hurlburt Field, Tyndall, NAS Pensacola, and NAS Jacksonville.
Plan for a Gap
With 4 to 8 days in transit, you'll probably arrive first. A short rental or rideshare covers the gap.

FAQ
Arizona to Florida Car Shipping FAQs
How long does it take to ship a car from Arizona to Florida?
Usually 4 to 8 days after pickup. The Panhandle is on the faster end. South Florida takes the longest.
How much does it cost to ship a car from Arizona to Florida?
It depends on your exact pickup and delivery locations, vehicle size, open or enclosed transport, and the season. Request a free quote and you'll get a final price, good for 7 days.
Does hurricane season affect Arizona to Florida shipping?
It can. A big stretch of I-10 runs along the Gulf, so storms can delay trucks in Texas, Louisiana, or Florida. Keep your dates flexible from June through November.
Can you pick up and deliver at gated communities?
Yes. Share gate codes or HOA rules for both ends when you book. If a big truck can't get in, the driver will meet you at the entrance or a nearby lot.
Is it cheaper to ship or drive from Arizona to Florida?
Driving 2,000 miles means four days, three or four hotel nights, gas, food, and a lot of wear on your car. For most people, shipping costs about the same or less.
Can you ship a car from Florida back to Arizona?
Yes. Request a quote with your Florida pickup address and your Arizona delivery address. It's door-to-door either way.
Is my car insured during transport?
Yes. Every carrier we work with is required to carry active cargo insurance. Your car's condition is documented on the Bill of Lading at pickup and checked again at delivery. Personal items left in the vehicle aren't covered.
Do I have to pay upfront?
No. There's $0 due at booking. Once a carrier is assigned, you can pay a deposit and the rest to the driver at delivery by cash or check, or pay in full at that point.
