Shipping a Car From Arizona to Minnesota
Phoenix to Minneapolis is about 1,750 miles and roughly a 100-degree swing in winter temperatures. The route runs east through New Mexico, then straight north up the middle of the country. It's three or four long days by car.
Minnesota sends a big crowd to Arizona every winter. Mesa, Scottsdale, Surprise, and Sun City have huge numbers of Minnesota snowbirds, and we ship a lot of their cars home each spring. We also move cars for people relocating to the Twin Cities for work, staff heading to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and students at the University of Minnesota.
Door-to-door, a final-price quote, and $0 due at booking.

How Cars Get From Arizona to Minnesota
A common path is I-40 east to Amarillo, across Kansas to Wichita, and then straight up I-35 through Kansas City and Des Moines into the Twin Cities. Some carriers go north through Denver and across Nebraska on I-80 instead, depending on their other stops.
Rochester is a short hop east of I-35 on US-14 or US-52. St. Cloud is northwest of the Cities on I-94, and Duluth is about two and a half hours north on I-35. Lake country and the Iron Range take extra planning.

Timing
When to Ship Arizona to Minnesota
This route swings hard with the seasons.
April Exodus
Minnesota snowbirds wait out the thaw, then leave Arizona all at once in April. Book a month ahead.
Minnesota Winter
Subzero cold and blizzards on I-35 can delay trucks from December through March. Leave room in your schedule.
Spring Road Limits
In March and April, Minnesota limits truck weights on many smaller roads while the ground thaws. Meeting near a main highway keeps things on time.
Summer & Fall
Easy to book. Heading north in the fall is especially simple, since most trucks are going the other way.
Pricing
How Much Does It Cost to Ship a Car From Arizona to Minnesota?
Here's what affects the price between Arizona and Minnesota.
Season
April is the most expensive month to ship from Arizona to Minnesota. Summer and fall are usually cheaper.
Distance
Southern Minnesota is about 1,700 miles from Phoenix. Duluth and the north are closer to 1,900.
Delivery Area
The Twin Cities, Rochester, and towns on I-35 and I-94 are easy. Cabin country and the Iron Range take more planning.
Open or Enclosed
Open is the standard. Enclosed keeps Minnesota road salt off a car that spent the winter in the sun.
Vehicle Size
Full-size trucks and SUVs take more trailer space than sedans, so they cost more to ship.
Date Flexibility
A flexible pickup window lets us catch a truck already heading north.
Your Quote Is Your Final Price
Your quote is your final price. No last-minute increases when trucks get busy in April, and $0 due at booking.

Usually 4 to 7 days after pickup. The Twin Cities are on the faster end. Winter storms can add a day or two.
How much does it cost to ship a car from Arizona to Minnesota?
It depends on your exact pickup and delivery locations, vehicle size, open or enclosed transport, and the season. Request a free quote and you'll get a final price, good for 7 days.
When should Minnesota snowbirds book the trip home?
About a month ahead for April pickups. That's the busiest time of year on this route.
Can you deliver to a cabin or lake home up north?
Often, yes. If the road can't handle a big truck, especially during spring road limits, the driver will meet you in the nearest town.

Yes. Request a quote with your Minnesota pickup address and your Arizona delivery address. It's door-to-door either way.
Is my car insured during transport?
Yes. Every carrier we work with is required to carry active cargo insurance. Your car's condition is documented on the Bill of Lading at pickup and checked again at delivery. Personal items left in the vehicle aren't covered.
Do I have to pay upfront?
No. There's $0 due at booking. Once a carrier is assigned, you can pay a deposit and the rest to the driver at delivery by cash or check, or pay in full at that point.
